Joel A. Giusti, Amy Houghtaling and Alex Trevino have joined the West Valley Hospital Foundation Board of Directors.

Joel A. Giusti, Amy Houghtaling and Alex Trevino have joined the West Valley Hospital Foundation Board of Directors.

The Foundation is a charitable organization that supports medical and medically related projects in Polk County. Its 15 volunteer directors help raise, manage and distribute Foundation funds according to donor wishes.

Giusti is a financial advisor with Wells Fargo Advisor Wealth Brokerage Services, and is currently a member of the board of directs of the Dallas Area Chamber of Commerce and the Dallas Rotary Club. Houghtaling is the owner of Dallas City Cleaners, and is the Mayor of Falls City. Trevino is the owner of Rookies Pub and Eatery in Monmouth, and is involved in the Independence Downtown Association.

Officers are Chair Amy Lowery; Vice Chair Mitch Ratzlaff; and Secretary/Treasurer Jennifer Moran. Other board members are Carrie Casebeer; Charles Essex, M.D.; Jim Fairchild; Cheryle Kennedy; Lu Ann Meyer; Lane Shetterly; Darin Silbernagel and Phil Walker.

Last year the Foundation approved over $145,000 for various projects including scholarships for students pursuing careers in the medical field, hospital equipment and construction and patient assistance for women needing financial assistance to receive a mammogram.
